What are the high-calorie foods?

Broadly speaking, food can be divided into three components from energy point of view. The major food components that give us energy are:

Food component Energy given
Carbohydrates 4 Calories per gram
Proteins 4 Calories per gram
Fats 9 Calories per gram

This means fat are the most energy dense food component!

Alcohol gives energy that is almost equivalent to that given by fat.

It comes out to be that foods that are rich in fat and/or alcohol provide the highest energy.
